How to prepare an apartment before pest control?
Good preparation improves the result and helps keep warranty conditions valid. The exact list is always adjusted to the pest and method.
Spraying and ULV fogging
Preparation before treatment
- Vacuum floors, skirting boards, bed areas, sofas and places where activity appears.
- Move beds, sofas and selected furniture away from walls if access to skirting boards is needed.
- Secure food, dishes, cosmetics, toys, medicines and personal items.
- Wash indicated textiles at a high temperature or pack them tightly as instructed.
- Make sure the property can be left during treatment and ventilated afterwards.
Gel treatment
Kitchen and bathroom preparation
- Do not use household sprays before the visit because they can scatter cockroaches.
- Remove food residues, crumbs and easy access to water in the kitchen and bathroom.
- Provide access under the sink, around the fridge, dishwasher, pipes and technical areas.
- Do not wash off gel points after the visit and do not cover them with cleaning products.
- Keep the area clean, but avoid aggressive washing where the technician placed product.
Bed bugs require particular discipline
For bed bug treatment, beds, mattresses, skirting boards, furniture frames, curtains, textiles and items stored near sleeping areas matter. Better access to hiding places improves the treatment result.
Why does preparation affect warranty?
Warranty makes sense only when the treatment can work in places where pests actually live. If the bed is inaccessible, textiles are not secured or the product is washed away the next day, the risk of return increases. Before the visit we explain which steps are required and which ones simply improve order and comfort after the service.

Some surfaces should not be washed immediately because the product needs time to work.

It depends on the method. Spraying and ULV fogging usually require temporary absence and ventilation. Gel treatment is usually less disruptive.
How should I prepare the apartment?

When does the warranty apply?
